Prizes for the May Class Contest - see rules in below post

Here is a preview of what is going to be in the prize drawing basket for the May Classes.  To see the rules and more information about the prize drawing, see the below post.  The above are the following items.

1.  Amys donation - Amy picked a Scenic Route paper pack from their new line - Grafton.  This line is very popular with its bright summery colors.  

Included in the paper pack is:

*  12 sheets of double sided patterned paper - cardstock weight

*  3 sheets of printed kraft cardstock 

*  2 embellishment cardstock sticker sheets

*  1 label cardstock sticker sheet

She also included a package of American Craft alphabet Thickers in the color brown  (giggles font) and a package of chipboard shapes in colors that match the Scenic Route Grafton line.

This line is Amys all time favorite with it's bright colors.  Thickers are also one of her favorites (which she uses a lot of times on her layouts throughout the store), and the A2Z chipboard shapes. 

2.  Vals pick for the prize basket are the Bazzill "Just the Edge" Cardstock Strips.  These 12" strips are not only great for layouts, but also cardmaking.  You get 20 pieces in each package (2 of each style). 

The colors she picked are:

*  Guacamole (green)

*  Rio (Orange)

*  Mexican Poppy (yellow)

*  Chablis (pink)

*  Red Devil (red)

*  North Sea (blue)

*  Brisbane (purple)

*  Geneva (brown)

*  French Vanilla (kinda creamy)

3.  Carons pick for the Prize Basket was the Marvy Uchida 12" trimmer.  It's a rotary blade trimmer and it comes with a straight edge blade.  I also added in the Scallop blade.  I used to love using my scallop edged scissors with my cardmaking till this trimmer came along!  It makes cutting scalloped edges a snap!  The trimmer also comes with a complimentary free-style handle.

** Please note that we will also be adding into the basket some homemade goodies!  Both Val and Amy are contributing some page layouts.  I am going to contribute a set of handmade greeting cards with envelopes! 

We will draw a name after the last class of the month.  The winner will be notified by phone and we will also post the winner on the blog.  

Oh, and by the way, the total value of the product in the Prize Basket is .......... $88.00!!  That's not including the layouts and cards you'll be receiving!

The basket will be on display in the store next week.

Cards, April 16th - Caron

Here are the cards from the card class.  They are pretty easy to assemble.  On the card with the yellow/white polka dot, you are given a small piece of green ric rak and large piece.  The small piece is to tie in a knot and put on top of the button.  The longer piece should be cut down to fit across the flowered patterned paper (top and bottom).  Thanks so much for purchasing a kit from the store.

Attention all Scrapbook Art Blog readers! Here's a special announcement regarding May Classes.

   

I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely ready for Summer!  Well, I take that back.  I would like some Spring before Summer, but we all know that Spring never hangs around long enough.  At least for me it doesn't.  So I'll give you some Summer "eye candy" above to get you in the mood for warm weather.

I love this time of year as everything starts to bud.  And who can deny that this weather definitely puts everyone in a good mood.  More smiles.  People are just a lot nicer when the sun is shining and the weather is nice outside.  

So in the spirit of being nice, Amy came up with an idea for the May Classes.  Val and I decided it was such a great idea that we are going join in on the fun.  Are you ready?

** For anyone who attends a class in the Month of May you will be able to enter your name into a prize drawing.  Amy, Val, and I will be putting together a basket full of goodies for one lucky prize winner!  It will be filled to the brim with Newer Product, along with some of our favorites and possibly some homemade items from us.  The prize basket will be valued at $50.00 (at least) .

Here are the rules for the Prize drawing:

1.  You must attend and participate in class.   By participate I don't mean sing, dance, or tell old stories...I just mean be there and put your pages together! (just trying to put a little humor in this...)

2.  Prepaid kits do no apply.  This is why I'm posting this on the blog because I know most of you come here because you've purchased a kit.  Well, we want you to join us in Class!  We have missed seeing your face...Yep, that's right.  It's the truth...I pinky promise.  (a common phrase used by teenage girls to make you want to trust what they are saying...sometimes it works.  I know this cause my daughter uses it all the time and she's 17...)

3.  For each class you attend, you get to enter your name into the drawing.  That's right.  If you attend two classes, you get to enter twice.  Three...enter your name three times.  You get it.  The only thing that doesn't count is if you buy an extra kit.  Remember, kits don't count.  

So, I hope I've tempted you to think about joining us in a class next month!  We would really love to see you.  And we are looking forward to putting our prize together and showing it to you!  In addition to a picture on here, we'll have the basket at the store on the front counter so you can really see what's in there.  Because we all know that a picture is nice....but seeing it is even better!
